FAQ | End of car rental

Yes, you can indeed return your car after the agency Europcar Sint Maarten has closed. But before, you must however make sure to check the return conditions. The car is still under your responsibility until the procedure of return is finished by the agency’s staff.

All our cars will be delivered with a full tank. USD20 for refueling fee.

We recommend that you return your car at least 4:00 to 5:00 hours before the actual departure of your flight. Indeed, the airport terminal is under construction, therefore, you can wait for a long time for the police, immigration, check-in, COVID check.

If you have an accident, you must inform Europcar Sint Maarten within a day meaning 24h. The agency will provide a report and your deposit will be billed. In the absence of a third party, and if the damage costs less than your deposit, Europcar will reimburse the difference to the security deposit of your credit card. If a third party is involved in the accident, your deposit will be charged. The insurance companies will identify the level of each driver’s responsibility. Please note that even if you have supplementary insurance, you can still be liable to the following situations:

• closing the vehicle with the keys inside and consequences
• replacing the battery of the disabled fact and its consequences
• fuel error and its consequences
• punctured tires and its consequences.
• Damages to the upper and lower part of the car related to poor care of the vehicle template.

The cars must be returned in an acceptable state compared to when you arrived. Any car that is returned incredibly dirty, with animal hair, sand, mud, stained upholstery, and markings for example, will be charged up to USD 100 or more depending on the repair. Don’t forget that you can add the cleaning line option to your rent.
